Brick making factory and electric kiln

On the way to our trip yesterday we stopped in this area for a break.  There was a really cool brick making factory there.

There was a large covered tent where workers were loading and firing this massive square kiln.

There was a large fan creating draw at the chimney.  It was obviously very dusty there.

Before we loaded a bisque into the electric kiln.  Those big ones are martins and are made of sagger clay. Real gritty stuff, and they are pretty heavy as well.
