The master thrower is usually given some shapes to throw before hand, but we do not give him that so he is free to explore whatever shape he likes in the demo.  Here are some he came up with after looking at some pots in the studio.  I was pretty inspired by this shape.  It is also a good feeling to see so many pots wet and sitting everywhere.
Tian bao demonstration works from only 2 days!!
Jackson Li in the flesh.  well.... the dark too, but his flesh is still there.

At his presentation.  Tao means pottery and Yao means kiln.  Just to answer the question in advance: no Yao ming's first name is not kiln.  In the chinese language there are 4 general tones and I am sure his name has a different one than the one used for kiln.

All very confusing to me - I am glad you are enjoying the presentations. Tomorrow is a special day - Grandma Hazel turns 80!! That's eighty is Chinese.

Actually June, is Grandma Hazel turning 80, or 80+the nine months in the womb, if the latter, then she really might be Chinese. Brad, the pots are neat. How do they cut the bottom off? I've never seen that before. I am sorry I haven't written much lately. I have not been home much. Tomorrow is trick or treat, so i want be home again. The sign on the toilet was hilarious. I think we should put some of those on the latrines at Scout Camp. We are having Andrew Toney's Eagle Ceremony this Sunday, and maybe Wesley's next Sunday. I hope you are doing well, be careful.

GRANDMA HAZEL SAID TO TELL YOU SHE PRAYS FOR YOU DAILY.

I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD BE DRESSING UP AND GOING TRICK OR TREATING.

I ENJOYED TALKING TO YOU LAST NIGHT.

Hey Brad - That's right - she would be 81 - she wouldn't like that. Connie is coming to China next week - I will tell her to look you up LOL. Happy Halloween! Love, Mom :)
